I stared at the message from Windows on my computer screen. My heart began to race as I read the words that the system had detected problems with the hard drive. This couldn't be happening! I had a lot of important information on my PC-information that I couldn't afford to lose.
I quickly searched for a solution online and found a tutorial that showed me how to fix the problem
https://www.diskinternals.com/partition-recovery/external-hard-drive-repair-software/ But even as I read, I knew that this was only a temporary fix. The real solution was to back up my data onto an external hard drive.
I sighed, knowing that this was something I should have done already. But it was too late now-I needed to take action if I wanted to save my data. Luckily, I had a spare external hard drive lying around. So, grabbing it quickly, I started backing up my files onto it.
Once I was finished, I breathed a sigh of relief. At least my data was safe-for now, at least! But I knew that I needed to find a permanent solution to this problem so it wouldn't happen again in the future
