SSFL Gujarat is supported by Uflex Ltd., India’s largest flexible packaging company. The company
extended the support to SSFL-Gujarat after seeing its great impact on children
in Delhi. While extending the support, the Chairman and Managing Director of
Uflex Limited, Mr. Ashok Chaturvedi had said
Daniel Sedin Youth Jersey , ‘Work that is for the larger good of the society must go on unhindered’, the organization is committed to replicate the success
of SSFL Delhi in Gujarat as well. Notably SSFL has been conceptualized to
identify football talent at early adolescence so that India could get some of
the best players to take the country and the sport to the next level.
SSFL has evolved to become one of the most significant ‘talent spotting’ platforms
for clubs and bodies seeking to acquire talent right at early adolescence. While
many officials and individuals from professional bodies keep their eyes on the
budding players during the matches, selectors from international foreign clubs
watch ‘live streaming’ of important matches and even call for recorded videos to
assess the performance of promising players.
“Every closing ceremony is the beginning of a new phase for us. It is the establishment of the fact that we
came here, created a platform and an opportunity that did not exists and this is
only going to scale, become bigger and better. The ultimate beneficiaries of the
league are the country’s future as well as the game of football.
“With conclusion in the north zone
Brock Boeser Youth Jersey , we are looking forward to other zones of Gujarat and are in process of speaking to like-minded corporate groups to partner with us
and extend support under their corporate social responsibility to make this
initiative a larger success and end India’s quest for a strong Indian football
team, said Mr. Siddhartha Upadhyay, Founder and Secretary General, STAIRS.
I am thankful to Uflex for its continued support to the initiative that will
empower the children and youth of the state much like it would bolster the sport
itself. This will inspire the children to play the sport with truest
sportsmanship and even opt it as a career.”
Golf, one of the most popular American sports
Sam Gagner Jersey , is not only fun, but also has quite an interesting history. The sport of golf began in the late 14th or early 15th century among a
group of Dutch sailors who named the game after the Dutch word for club, "klof."
Scottish sailors witnessed this game in the 15th century and brought it over to the public links lands in Scotland. In the Scottish dialect, "klof"
became "goff" and eventually "golf" for the English.
By the 1890s, golf courses ranged from six to twenty holes. One of the most popular courses in
Scotland -St. Andrews - consisted of a long narrow strip of land with Markus Granlund Jersey , at first, eleven holes; each golfer would play the holes out and back in again for a total of twenty-two holes. However, two
holes were deemed too short and only nine were left, making the total the
standard eighteen.
During this same decade, golf clubs in the United Kingdom used the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews to set the
rules Sven Baertschi Jersey , making eighteen holes the standard.
Over those eighteen holes, golfers use a slew of strange, yet so familiar words:
"birdie," "eagle,"
"bogey Alex Burmistrov Jersey ," "fore." These words are now used daily in golf games around the world, but few know the origins of such terms. All of these
expressions came into golf vocabulary early on in the game, starting with
"birdie"
in 1899.
H.B. Martin's "Fifty Years of American Golf" ran an article in 1899 recounting a comment made by Ab Smith during a foursome match in
Atlantic City, New Jersey. Smith retold that his ball "came to rest within six
inches of the cup and he said, 'That was a bird of a shot!'"
Smith went on to suggest to his fellow golfers that when a man plays a hole in one under
par he should receive "double compensation." The other players agreed Thomas Vanek Jersey , and the four men began to call such a shot a "birdie."
"Eagle" soon foll.
