Saif in Ghai’s next

When Subhash Ghai went corporate [Mukta Arts Ltd.], one of the few directors he signed pronto was Satish Kaushik. Although Kaushik did direct a film for Mukta, BADHAAI HO BADHAAI, it was more of a joint venture between Ghai, Anil Kapoor and Kaushik. But there's a strong possibility that Ghai - Kaushik's new project together will be officially announced on October 24 this year.

“Yes, we've been having meetings and holding discussions pertaining to the new film,” Kaushik divulges, “In fact, Subhash-ji and I are very keen to work with each other. I distinctly remember, it was while shooting for RAM LAKHAN when he first offered a film to me.”

Reportedly, Ghai has decided to cast Saif Ali Khan in the film and has already spoken to the actor about it. “Yes, Subhash-ji did call Saif in London and discussed the project, but things will materialize once he [Saif] returns and hears the script,” Kaushik adds.

A solo hero film, Kaushik states that it's not a remake of any South film. “It's a fresh idea. We're still working on it. Let's see how it develops,” he adds.
