Indonesian President Joko Widodo met with the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong at the
State Palace on Wednesday.
President Widodo said that as both countries have had strong ties since more than 60 years ago, Nguyen Phu Trong's visit would give new spirit to the
bilateral ties of the nations.
Indonesia and Vietnam agreed to establish strategic partnership in 2013.
The president said the two-way trade of the nations has been significantly risen in the last three years.
"We have discussed several new steps and initiatives to achieve a 10 billion U.S. dollar trade volume," Widodo said.

Friday night, breaking the windows and computers, local BGN news reported
Saturday.
The Ankara office of Fenerbahce sports club on Tunus Street was attacked by some assailants holding meat cleavers. They broke the windows and destroyed the
computers in the office.
This is the second attack that targeted the club in a month, coming just weeks after an gun shot attack on Fenerbahce's team bus in the northeastern
province of Trabzon.
The motive of the attack on the Fenerbahce football team remains still not clear. But the enmity between Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor that first emerged with
a match-fixing scandal is believed to be the main reason behind the incident, as
local news reported.
