At the beginning of January 2018, FIFA 18 Team of the Year is expected to released in Ultimate Team mode. Since FUT 12, EA Sports has been
producing the TOTY every year, in which only the 11 best players of the
past year are placed.
The players in TOTY are selected by FIFPro and announced at the Best
FIFA Football Awards Gala. Afterwards, EA Sports releases special, dark
blue player cards from these players. These are the best cards in FUT
18!For the first time ever, the FIFA 18 TOTY, the Team of the Year will
be voted by a careful selection of journalists, athletes and members of
the EA SPORTS FIFA community.
The voter collective has been chosen to represent millions of EA SPORTS FIFA players worldwide. Each team will
be chosen from a list of 55 players, nominated by EA SPORTS for their
respective performances in 2017.
On January 8th will be given to each voter of the personalized urns,
containing the 55 nominated player objects. Each vote will consist of
three forwards, three midfielders, four defenders and a goalkeeper in
the 4-3-3 form. Each voter will express his preferences by posting a
photo of his team by January 12 with the hashtag #TOTYVote on social
networks.
The cards guaranteed by this group will have a weight of 60% in the
final grade. The remaining 40% of the votes will be managed by EA
