The New Jersey Devils say forwards Taylor Hall and Patrick Maroon and goaltender Cory Schneider have had surgeries since the playoffs ended
for them last month.
The team said Tuesday that Hall and Maroon are expected to be ready for the start of training camp
Mike Hughes Jersey Elite , while Schneider may need five months to recover from surgery to repair a torn cartilage in his left hip.
Hall, who had a career season in leading the Devils to their first playoff berth since 2012, had surgery on Apr. 30 to repair torn ligaments in his left
hand. He suffered the injury in late December but played the rest of the season.
It was not the injury that kept him out of the All-Star Game in January.
Hall is one of the three finalists for the Hart Trophy, which is presented to the NHL’s MVP, and the Ted Lindsay Award, which recognizes the league’s most
outstanding player. He had 39 goals, 54 assists and 93 points for New Jersey,
which was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Tampa Bay
Lightning.
Schneider had his surgery last week. Dr. Bryan Kelly at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York estimated Schneider might be ready to play just
before the season starts.
Schneider posted a 17-16-6 record with a 2.93 goals-against average in a season that saw him sidelined for an extended time between late January and
March. He lost his starting job to Keith Kinkaid in that span but started the
final three games of the postseason and played well.
Maroon underwent surgery last week to repair a herniated disk in his back. Dr. Andrew Sama at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York believes Maroon
will be able to resume offseason training and preparation programs before the
start of training camp.
Maroon had three goals and 10 assists after being acquired from Edmonton before the trade deadline. He will be an unrestricted free agent this
summer.
NOTES: The Devils later announced that defenseman Brian Strait signed a two-year
Frank Ragnow Youth Jersey , two-way contract with an average annual salary of $675,000 at the NHL level. The 30-year-old spent last season in Binghamton
(AHL), collecting three goals and five assists.

More NHL hockey: North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum said he has repaid a Minnesota electric utility $37,000 for tickets the company provided him and his wife for
Sunday’s Super Bowl in Minneapolis.
The Republican governor on Wednesday said he reimbursed Xcel Energy ”to eliminate even the perception of any conflict.”
Burgum and first lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum watched the game from a suite provided by Xcel, which serves more than 90,000 customers in Grand Forks, Fargo
and Minot. He said before going that he planned to use the opportunity to talk
with Xcel officials about their service and infrastructure in North Dakota.
The trip drew criticism even from within his own party.
”We can’t be doing that,” GOP Senate Majority Leader Rich Wardner said. ”I don’t think the governor was influenced in any way but we as state officials
just need to use good judgment.”
Burgum
Fred Warner Jersey 49ers , in a statement, said the tickets ”have not influenced, and will not influence, my decision-making as governor. However, to
eliminate even the perception of any conflict, I have reimbursed Xcel Energy for
the full cost of the tickets.”
Earlier Wednesday, his office said that an ethics policy was being written for the governor and his staff. But it was in progress before the governor was
criticized over the Super Bowl, according to Burgum spokesman Mike Nowatzki.
”There wasn’t one in the governor’s office when we moved in
Jay Buhner Seattle Mariners Jersey ,” Nowatzki said of an ethics policy. Burgum’s lawyer, Leslie Bakken Oliver, has been crafting such a policy
for several months, the spokesman said.
”We don’t have a timeline” for when it will be done, Nowatzki said.
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton paid more than $6,000 for his own ticket to the Super Bowl.
Democratic House Minority Leader Corey Mock of Grand Forks said if anyone could make the case for getting a free ticket to the game it would have been
Minnesota’s governor. Burgum, a wealthy, former software executive
http://www.bengalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-malik-jefferson-jersey , could afford his own, Mock said.
”That way, no one would question why you get to go to the biggest football game of the season at no cost,” he said.
During his campaign for governor, Burgum often talked about ”reinventing government,” shaking up the ”good old boy” party establishment and reining in
”runaway spending” as the state’s oil boom was fading.
