Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday urged the Film Industry to prepare themselves for challenges ahead. "Quality and standard of production (of films) needs be improved manifold," he said while talking to delegation of film producers and stars who called on the Minister here. The delegation was led by Chairman Film Producers Association, Mian Amjad Farzand Ali. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed pointing out the challenges ahead to the Film Industry said there was a greater need for setting up of a "think-tank" which should conduct a thorough study on ways to significantly improve the industry. The Minister said that the copy rights law had already been put in place and action would be taken against those who violate the law. He assured the delegation that government was ready to support their cause, but it is the industry which had to take initiatives to improve production.
