BEIJING, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Coach Gong Luming, who helped the Chinese men's basketball team return to the Asian top podium last October, will continue to
lead the team to Rio Olympic Games this August, the Chinese Basketball
Association's website said on Tuesday.
The Chinese basketball's governing body released a list of the team's coaching staff with Gong still as the head coach.
Gong's coaching position had been uncertain in February as some reports claimed that he failed to reach a consensus with the association on his pay and
bonus. Later, Gong told Xinhua that he was still communicating with the
governing body.
Later than usual, the Chinese Basketball Association released a 23-man squad on March 31, with assistant coach Li Nan taking over the team's daily training.
Now, Gong remains in office.
