okk,, but when u say ab yeh insaan change nahi ho sakta means uss ki maafi nahi hogi par agar woh change hona chahe to ?? i mean aisa kya gunah hai k phir woh banda change ho hi nahi sakta,,, coz it s said k maafi k darwaze harr wakt khule rehte hein

nah,, still didnt get,, jo shaks aik aise ghar mei paida hua jahan sab buton ko poojte hein,, to it s obvious k woh issi ko sahi samjhe ga iss mei uss ka koi itna zyada kasooor to nahi hai na,, coz he didnt choose to b born in a non muslim family
aur dil pe mohar to muslims k bhi lagti hai jab k humein sahi galt bohot clearly bataya gaya hai phir hum saari zindagi iss dhoke mei kaise reh sakte hein k koi gunah karein par khud ko galt samjhein

actually i don't know exactally the meaning ..........mein jo be kehta hoon uss ka koi source nahi hota hai.......... i mean jesay smooth kehta hai ...........woe jo be baat kehta hai islam kay nukta nazar sei kehta hai............ore meri bateen saab khayaali hoti hai.......i mean jo mein feel karta hoon............ess leye i think ess sawal ka jawaab woe behtaar toor pay dei sakta hai......islam kay nukta nazar sei.............

yep i know,,, SD has quite lot of knowledge abt islam par i beleive niyyat aur dil saaf rakh k sochein to hum khud se bhi bohot batein samajh sakte hein
coz jab Allah ki koi kitab nazil nahi hui thi to tab bhi ache log hote the,, tab bhi log achai k liye larte the (beshak aise log zyada nahi the) par paighambar/nabi apni soch aur niyyat se hi to sache raste pe chalte the na,, (dont take me wrong,, im not comparing anyone to any prophet or Allah's messenger)
well,, now back to dil pe mohr,, i was always confused abt this term, coz it s said Khuda jisse chahe seedha rasta dikha de,, to me hamesha sochti thi k aise hi Allah miyan jiss k dil pe mohr laga dein to woh shaks maafi nahi maange ga, par yeh (Allah mujhe maaf kare) thori si na insaafi ho jae gi
few days back,, i heard someone exlaining this term,, in vv simple words, aur khud se samajh aa gai mujhe,, just wanted to share it,, bass :)

gunah karna ACTION hai aur dil pe mohr lagna uss ka REACTION..
but still maaf karna Khuda k haath mei hai.. Allah miyan humein harr gunah se bachae rakhein,, dilon ko behisi aur khudgarzi se paak rakhein,, aur iss mohr lagne ki kefiyat se bachae rakhein Ameen

You know funny thing is that knowledge is there...in the Quran & hadith ... its just upto us to take a dip into it.
Sall you found the correct answer. I however, wanted to add a cpl o'things.
I'm sure you know the diff b/w muslim & momin... people in the time of Prophet (pbuh), especially after conquest of Mekkah, entered the fold of Islam and claimed to be believers. Allah SWT revealed the verses in Suratul Hujurat, saying : The Araab (bedouin Arabs) said the believed, say to them that they did not believe, they merely submitted (accepted) the truth but Imaan did not reach your heart...
In verses before this one Allah SWT gave the description of iman settling in the heart. He, the exalted says to true believers (momins): And But Allah has endeared the faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts and has made disbelief, Fusuq and `Isyan hateful to you.
So mere muslims whose heart is not attached with Allah but only performs rituals is prone to sinning because the heart devoid of imaan accepts notions of disbelief, fisq and isyan and resultantly sins without even thinking its a big deal. When this practice continues unabated, heart becomes like a hard baron ground that will not produce any vegetation (virtuous deed) even after a heavy rainfall (reminders after reminders from the book of Allah). This is when they reject faith and stick to their own set of believes no matter how many proves may be brought out from the Book of Allah and the life of His Prophet (pbuh).

This phenomenon is so very wrongly understood among Muslims so much so that all the blame for mischief is set upon Allah.
Allah SWT has been merciful to mankind as He sent messengers and messages to guide the mankind to the true path. Guidance is for those who truly seeks it. And one who receives guidance in the heart, none can misquide such person who has accepted (choosen) to hold on to Allah's guidance. And the one who doesn't seek guidance from Allah, will not find it and will remain misguided. Allah SWT sayas in Suratul Baqarah: "Those are they who have purchased error for guidance and torment at the price of forgiveness."
