LeBron James capped his 15th regular season with yet another record.
James played in his 82nd game on Wednesday night against the New York Knicks
Devin Shore Jersey , completing an end to end run that underscores the 33-year-old’s remarkable consistency. The four-time MVP had never played every
game in a regular season as he typically sits out games at the end of the year
to rest for the playoffs.
Not this year.
James’ previous high was 81 games in 2008-09, when then-coach Mike Brown sat him for the Cavs‘ regular-season finale. James never made playing every game a
goal, but he has said he wants to break the mold for players of his age.
Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said he tried to talk James out of playing, but relented.
”He wants to play,” Lue said. ”I mean
Jimmy Vesey Jersey , it’s hard to play 82 games. I was in the league 11 years. Never had a chance to get to 82. Everything has to go absolutely right.
He wants to play and I guess in his 15th year to get to 82, it really says a
lot. It says a lot about him. But once he gets his 10 points, don’t be surprised
if I yank him out. He might get mad, but I don’t care. I don’t care.”
And Lue kept his word.
After James scored 10 points, extending his NBA record for scoring in double digits to 873 games

James will finish the season leading the league in points and minutes played. He entered the finale averaging 27.7 points with career-highs in assists (9.2)
assists and rebounds (8.7). He’s not expected to be named MVP as Houston’s James
Harden remains the favorite, but James remains the game’s unquestioned best
all-around player.
James will also lead the Cavs in total points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.

Shelby Miller is scheduled to return to the Arizona Diamondbacks‘ rotation Monday

Miller will face the Marlins in Miami. He rejoined the NL West-leading Diamondbacks before their game Thursday night against the Pirates after making
four rehab starts in the minor leagues.
”I’m pretty excited but I’m assuming the first (start) back won’t be perfect,” Miller said. ”There are going to be times where I’m going to have to
bear down and get through some stuff. I’ve talked to people (who have had the
surgery) and they say command is the last thing to come back.”
The 27-year-old Miller pitched a combined 19 1/3 innings in his rehab starts, two with Double-A Jackson and two with Single-A Visalia. He allowed 10 runs and
20 hits while striking out 28 and walking six.
A 15-game winner in 2013 with the St. Louis Cardinals and an All-Star in 2015 with the Atlanta Braves, Miller was injured in his fourth start last season. He
has a 5-14 record and 5.78 ERA in 24 starts since the Diamondbacks acquired him
from the Braves in a trade prior to the 2016 season.
”I definitely have some thing to prove over here,” Miller said.
Miller will take the rotation spot of rookie right-hander Matt Koch
Madison Bowey Jersey , who was optioned to Triple-A Reno. Koch was 5-4 with a 4.40 ERA in 13 games, including 12 stats.
Right-handed reliever Jake Barrett was recalled from Reno. He has appeared in three games for the Diamondbacks this season.
