Red Hat Certified Technicians install, attach, configure and manage new Red Hat systems that are a part of a production network. They are professionals that can handle anything related to core system administration tasks common to all systems. They have vast knowledge about workstations, servers, network devices and other kinds of systems.
Technicians must have the ability to use necessary tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation. They must be well-versed about how to operate systems, which include activities such as booting into different run levels and identifying processes. They must have a good understanding of virtual machines and controlling services. It is the responsibility of a Red Hat Certified Technician to configure local storage with the help of partitions and logical volumes.
