The blue thongs peeping from behind her low-waist jeans and the tattoo on her bosom in the new album not only made her a voyeur¿s delight but also the item girl of the small screen. Today, she is getting married. Shefali Zariwalla will exchange marriage vows with her fiancée Harmeet Gulzar. "The date has been fixed as per a mahurat," she says.
The wedding will take place in the Four Bunglows, Gurdwara. The ceremony will take place as per the Punjabi customs. Another ceremony as per Gujarati customs will take place in Sea Princess Hotel on February 6th.
Here is the love story: Harmeet knew her since some time through his brother and bhabhi. But the duo hardly used to speak. It was not love at first sight, for sure. It just happened one fine evening when they went in a large group to watch an English play 'I'm Not Bajirao'. There were two seats, which were a little away from the group. Those two seats were kept for the ones who would arrive late. Incidentally, Shefali and Harmeet were the last ones to arrive. As soon as the play was over, they exchanged numbers... aur phones aur sms ka lamba silsila shuru ho gaya. The rest, as they say, is history.
Says Shefali, "Earlier, we had decided that we'll bide some time. But we have come to the conclusion that it's better to tie the knot now. We can't stay away from each other anymore. Importantly, we both are settled in life."
The couple will be staying in Harmeet's Lokhandwala flat. Shefali's in-laws? "Well, they stay in Gwalior. So I guess they'll shuttle," she says. And honeymoon? "Oh, we really haven't planned anything to happen immediately in this regard. For I have already taken three weeks leave now from all my shows. So I'll have to resume as soon as the marriage is over. Plus, Harmeet too has a few work assignments in mid-February. But yes, say after a month or so, we might fly away," she blushes. But where? "Hawaii. I love that place," she concludes.
