2019. After releasing veteran T.J. Lang earlier this month, Detroit is left with
few options. Kenny Wiggins finished the season as the team’s starter and is
signed for another year, but he’s best served in a backup role. Detroit added
free agent Oday Aboushi, but only committed to him for a single year, and he’s a
journeyman who has seemingly made a career out of being an injury replacement.
So, many have speculated that 2018 fifth-round pick Tyrell Crosby may be the
answer. Since he entered the 2018 NFL Draft, analysts have projected guard as
his best position
Darius Slay Jersey , despite the fact that he has always played tackle. On draft day, general manager Bob Quinn left the possibility of a transition to
guard open, but made it clear his best asset is at tackle.“I think he’s a tackle
first and foremost,” Quinn said last April.But given that Detroit is nearing
desperation at the guard position, have the Lions changed their mind a year
later? It’s not so clear.Head coach Matt Patricia met with the media this week
at the owners meetings and addressed Crosby’s future with the team, but remained
pretty non-committal to his position. He did admit the team will evaluate his
value at guard, but that is common practice for all players at his position.“The
game’s a little bit different inside than it is outside for Crosby, so some of
those situations we’re going to have to see if he can do that, but we’ll do that
with all of those guys,” Patricia said. “There will be a constant flux of
positional—I don’t want to call them situations—where we’re just seeing what
they can do, but we want to put our guys in as many possible situations that we

have to try to slide a guard over to center or a tackle to a guard. “You can’t
just put them in those situations in a live game without any reps, because
that’s not fair to the player,” Patricia said. So as we near closer to Organized
Team Activities and other offseason workout programs, don’t be surprised to see
Crosby at guard a little. However, that doesn’t mean he’s making the full
transition to the interior. Detroit just wants to do due diligence to make sure
their players aren’t put into uncomfortable in-game situations.That being said,
Patricia did leave a little door open for Crosby’s future to be
inside.“Sometimes you do it and you find out, ‘Hey, this guy is actually okay in
this spot,’ and that’s how they build a role from there.” Some quick thoughts on

Kerryon Johnson Jersey , as the NFL shows that they still see some potential in the rivalry even after both teams had dismal 2018 seasons. Their Week 5 matchup at
Lambeau Field will be on “Monday Night Football” and close out a week of NFL
action. They will meet once again at Ford Field in the all-important Week 17. If
both teams live up to expectations this season, then that game has potential to
decide the fate of the NFC North or even serve as some sort of playoff preview.
Both contests may end up as games that the entire league has an eye on, and
these two matchups can help breathe life into a rivalry that had a quiet
2018.The NFL can not get enough of the Bears on Thanksgiving For the second
consecutive season, the opponent in the Lions annual Thanksgiving matchup will
be the Chicago Bears. It makes sense, though. Chicago is one of the bigger
markets in the league, and a defense that features Khalil Mack and the Bears
devastating pass rush is sure to bring in some eyes. It does feel a little
underwhelming, though. Thanksgiving and Week 17 are two of the most exciting
games of the season for Lions fans, but now it seems that both weeks have been
locked up with annual matchups rather than a new exciting foe every year. More
repeats? Cardinals to start the season againWay back in Week 1 of the 2017
season, then rookie receiver Kenny Golladay announced himself to the league with
a two-touchdown performance against the Arizona Cardinals in a Lions victory.
Golladay and the Lions will have a chance to impress once again to start the
year, as they have been slotted to face Arizona in Week 1.The Lions and
Cardinals have had a quiet rivalry over the years. In 2014, they were the top
two teams in the NFC when they met in Week 11. In 2015

to the year. Starting in Week 2, Detroit will be matched up against three
straight 2018 playoff teams in the Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles and
Kansas City Chiefs. Then after a bye week, they head to Lambeau Field to face
the Packers, before heading back to Ford Field to take on a tough Minnesota
Vikings team that was a half-game out of the playoffs last year. The second half
of the schedule sees things tone down a bit, but do not be totally surprised if
we are already looking towards the 2020 draft in early November.
