FANUC America will feature their latest CNC HMI, an interactive collaborative robotics demonstration, shop floor data management
solutions and machining simulator for training or education applications
at the Precision Machining Technology Show, April 2-4, in Cleveland,
booth #4107.

The new FANUC iHMI provides a simple, efficient and intuitive way to
interact with FANUC CNCs. The iHMI features a new look with new
hardware, including a flat-panel touch-screen display and highly
graphical straightforward navigation.
iHMI also incorporates a variety of new tools and features designed to
increase ease-of-use, improve operational efficiency and bring more
control to the shop floor. Following a Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA)
process model, iHMI features focus on three key areas: Planning,
Machining, and Improvement.
The iHMI also has soft-touch keys and a hardened outer shell with
greater resistance to corrosive materials like cooling fluid. iHMI is
available in horizontal and vertical configurations with 10.4”, 15”, or
19” panel sizes.
Collaborative Robots
FANUC’s power and force limiting collaborative robots are equipped with
very sensitive contact detection allowing them to share workstations
with people. This is a major safety and floor space savings benefit as
it allows the robot to perform more strenuous tasks or repetitive
operations without the need for expensive industrial safety barriers.
At the show, a FANUC CR-4iA collaborative robot will provide lanyards to
attendees. The robot uses iRVision to locate lanyards hanging on a
rack, pick a lanyard and present it to a guest.
FANUC offers the widest range of collaborative robots in the industry –
six models with payloads of 4-35kg. All of FANUC’s power- and
force-limiting collaborative robots are green to easily distinguish them
from the standard yellow FANUC robots.
