We will learn how to make
aloo vada or potato vada in this video. It is a quick snack that you can enjoy anytime with your family. The Mumbai’s famous ‘Vada Pavs’ are stuffed with these potato vadas.
The ingredients required for this recipe are potatoes, rice powder, ginger, dried chilies, cumin seeds and cooking oil.The process is as simple as making pakoras.
Step 1: Boil the potatoes.
Step 2: Mash boiled potatoes when they cool down.
Step 3: Grind ginger, cumin seeds and dried red chillies using sil bata or a mixer and add the masala to the mashed potatoes.
Step 4: Add rice powder (ghuni) to it and make a batter of thick consistency.
Step 5: Make small round shaped balls of the batter and deep fry in oil.
Complement aloo vada with ‘pavs’ (breads) and chutney. Enjoy the delicacy.
