To misunderstand a word said,

So hard yet found so often,

With the passage of time,

A meaning so faultlessly altered,

And adorned and beautified for that ear which listens,

And scorned for those who first speak,

A friend is a friend if a friend pleases you,

Maliciousness in honesty is a friend's anger,

Misunderstanding and reasons taken back,

Give room only for contempt and malfunction,

I was honest with you,

And you granted me life,

And took it as such...
