Pakistan's premiere television channel Aaj TV has signed a historic contract with Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films. The initial agreement is to acquire six films for telecast on Aaj TV. NAZAR will be the first of the instalments; the telecast date of the film will be announced shortly.
Before its telecast on the television channel, Aaj TV has organized an exclusive event, 'Aaj Dosti - Nazar Telethon Special', which will be aired live on Aaj TV on May 23, from 8 p.m. onwards. The telethon will feature NAZAR star Meera, director Soni Razdan and special guest Mahesh Bhatt. Pakistani film and TV personalities, along with officials from the Information Ministry as well as P.E.M.R.A., will also participate in this event.
The purpose of this event is to support the Government of Pakistan's ongoing efforts towards normalization of relationship as well as promotion of cultural exchange between India and Pakistan.
