Tara Sharma to play a negative role
By IndiaFM News Bureau, July 30th 2005 - 1230 hrs IST
Tara Sharma has been known for her girl-next-door image. But all that is about to change. The actress who featured in films like Om Jai Jagdish, Saaya, Bardaasht, Masti and Page 3 will be next seen in Sitam. It is for the first time that the audience will be seeing her in a negative character in this film. And though she is playing the roles of Chanda as well as Chandi in Sitam, she clarifies that it is not a double role. The reason she accepted the role was primarily the script. Besides, she has always had an urge to work with director Partho Ghosh. The actress is also quite comfortable with showing skin. She has not even hesitated to smoke a cigarette on screen. However, she states that she is not as wild in real life as she is in reel life.
Other films in her kitty include Amavas along with Victor Bannerjee and Konkona Sen Sharma. Amavas is an out and out horror film, with Mahesh Manjrekar playing a key character. There is also Khosla Ka Ghosla in which she plays the role of Meghna, a young, wild girl from a conservative middle-class family. So Tara Sharma fans have a lot to look forward to.
