The most common side effects of all AAS include liver toxicity and cholestatic jaundice. Such an adverse effect on the liver has been demonstrated in patients who have been taking high doses of oxandrolone for more than a year while being used in combination with other anabolic steroids. There is no evidence that short-term use of oxandrolone results in the development of liver damage.
