The King Khan does not rule only over Bollywood! He has made his mark in the ad world also. With scores of endorsements to his credit, he is now all set to endorse… hold your breath… Lux! Lux has always promoted itself as the soap of the stars. But then again Lux always had actresses as their brand-ambassadress. All the leading ladies of Bollywood right from Leela Chitnis to Madhuri Dixit to Kareena Kapoor have featured in their ads. And this is the first time that Lux is using a male star to endorse its brand.
The brand is completing 75 years in India. To mark this occasion, they wanted to do something out of the ordinary. Keeping this is mind they have roped in Shah Rukh Khan for an ad campaign which will be launched on September 13. According to sources, the ad is very tongue in cheek! They wanted to do something new but at the same time maintain the brand essence by featuring a star. The teasers of the campaign will go on air from September 8.
