As per
Virgin Atlantic Airlines cancellation policy, if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of purchase, you are entitled to a full refund.
And refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
If you purchased your ticket within 24 hours of departure of your flight, you will be required to pay the cancellation amount.
Basically, this cancellation amount is a seat reservation fee.
