If all Outlook settings are still correct, however, if you are having trouble receiving MS Outlook mail in Outlook 2007 and other versions, you can try enabling SMTP authentication. Required steps are listed.
1. In Outlook, click on the Tools tab, select and Accounts.
2. In the Account Wizard, choose an account.
3. Now, under Exit server, select more options
4. In the Authentication window, choose the identity type, enter credentials.
