Bohemia, Mumbai?s niche and exclusive fine dining restaurant was the venue for a double celebration last night as Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar hosted an intimate yet very stylish dinner for sister in law actress Tanvi Azmi and partner Pinky Bhalla celebrated her birthday with family and friends. Shabana Azmi looked stunning in her vibrant ensemble as she played the perfect host and brought in Tanvi?s birthday over newly launched Moet & Chandon wine and fine cuisine.
The evening, an eclectic mix of Mumbai?s social royalty had Boney Kapoor?s ex wife, Mona, looking radiant in blue and Bijon Das Gupta, who came in with his family at the chef?s table. Javed Akhtar, in his true element added a dash of spark to the evening as he sang a birthday song for his sister in law ? a very rare sight indeed!
Baba Azmi enjoyed the evening with his wife as she brought in her birthday. The midnight hour saw the cutting of three beautifully crafted cakes courtesy Bohemia followed by a delicious main course accentuated with flowing champagne.
