I'm sure you're both right in this situation because some people prefer to watch online, some people download to their phone and use third party apps and some people prefer to use a torrent. Sites like
the pirate bay are really convenient for such functions so I personally support your point of view. I too use torrent in 2021 and there is nothing surprising about that.
