Ghai retrospective in Pakistan

The Kara Film Festival held in Pakistan is having a retrospective of Subhash Ghai films. In fact, the ace director is currently in Karachi to attend the event. The weeklong festival that was launched on Thursday, opened with Subhash Ghai hit Iqbal directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Some of the other Ghai films to be showcased at the festival are Khalnayak, Pardes, Taal and Kisna. Speaking from Karachi Subhash Ghai said, "This is my first goodwill visit to Pakistan. It is my good fortune that the dignitaries of Pakistan have chosen to honor me by showing my films at their festival. I feel films are the best medium to mend differences between the two nations and if my films succeed in that then what more can a film director ask for?"
