If you have a remote car starter, then you know that the battery in the key fob is important. But what do you do when it goes dead? Here's how to reset the service battery charging system in your remote car starter.
First, take out the key fob and remove the back cover. There should be two screws on the back of the cover. Remove them and set them aside. Next, remove the small circuit board from the key fob.

There is one more screw that needs to be removed before this piece can come out. Once it is out, you will see two small batteries attached to it. These are your service batteries.

To reset them, use a paper clip or something small and metal to short pins 2 and 3 together. Once the batteries are reset, put everything back together and it will be as good as new!

The two small batteries are your service battery system. You need to short 2 & 3 with anything metal for 20 seconds and 1 & 4 for 10 seconds. I used a small screwdriver to short them. Let me know if this helps anyone! Reply Delete
