Lindsay Lohan suffers asthma attack

Teen actress Lindsay Lohan has been hospitalised in Miami for treatment of a severe asthma attack, but she is expected to be released soon, her publicist says.


Lohan was in Miami to celebrate New Year`s Eve by hosting a party at the nightclub Prive. But a few days later, the city`s humidity got to her and she had trouble breathing, the spokesperson said. She sought help from a doctor, who suggested she get herself to the emergency room. Lohan had been diagnosed with bronchial asthma as a child, her rep said, but she hasn`t had an attack in years.

Sloane said Lohan herself suggested in an email that Florida`s high humidity may have contributed to her asthma attack, which was first reported by People magazine on its website.

Lohan was hospitalized in October following a car accident and in 2004 for a high fever and exhaustion.
