Salman Khan faces chinkara poaching case in Gujarat
Trouble for Salman Khan doesn't seem to end. The Bollywood actor now faces a fresh probe into the alleged killing of chinkara gazelles in Kutch in 1998.

The Gujarat government ordered the reopening of the case Wednesday, barely two days after a court in Rajasthan framed charges against him for allegedly hunting an endangered blackbuck in the state in the same year.

The state government ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to reopen the poaching case against Salman Khan and three others for killing chinkaras in Kutch.

The forest department had earlier conducted preliminary investigations and closed the case for want of evidence.

However, it was reopened after an environmental organisation, Gir Nature Youth Club, complained to Chief Minister Narendra Modi about the matter.

B.B. Jhala, a CID inspector in Kutch, said that a fresh probe would be conducted in the case.

The film star had allegedly indulged in the poaching of chinkaras in Sumrasar and Bhirandiara villages in the northern part of Kutch when he had gone there for the shooting of 'Hum Saath Saath Hai'.
