Upcoming films

- Top film hero Moamar Rana will make his inaugural film as director. The film name is Jang. Reema, Resham, Babur Ali and Nadeem are other actors in this film.

- Pashto film director Arshad Khan will make his first Punjabi film Mahi aawe ga. Top Pashto hero Shahid Khan will appear in any Punjabi film first time Other actors are Sana, Babrak Shah and Shafqat Cheema.

- Shaan will make a film with title Zille Shah - a role from super hit under released film Majajan.

- Syed Noor is very busy with some big project. He is working on Jhoomar, Sharika, Izzat ki qeemat, Heer Ranjha and Moula (Shafqat Cheema in the title role) .

- Sangeeta's Tarrap will be released on Augst 11, 2006.

- Indian films flopped..!
All three Indian films were a total flop in Pakistan. Mughal-e-Azam, Taj Mehal and Bride & Prejudice (which was released as "Balley Balley") could not impress Pakistani cinegores. Distributors have lost a huge amount and other planned films - as Sohni Mehinwal - are postponed due to fear of another flop.

- Eid films...
Shehzad Rafiq's Mohabtan sachiyan, Syed Noor's Jhoomar and Sheikh Akram's Kursi are films to be released on Eid-ul-Fittar day on October 22 or 23, 2006.
Shaan's film Zille Shah will be released on Eid-ul-Azha on December 30 or 31, 2006.

- Super star from the past Babra Sharif is now so tired from men that she is planning to produce and direct a film without any male role in her film..!!

- Heer Ranjha - again..?
After the great success of Majajan, director Syed Noor is very confident to make a film on the classic folk story Heer Ranjha. Saima, Shaan and Shafqat Cheema will play title roles as Heer, Ranjha and Kaido, respectively.

- Nadeem as villain..!
Senior film hero Nadeem will play a negative role in Pervez Kalim's new film Tum se pyar hai. Atiqa Odho and Shafi Mohammad are other main actors.


Films on Mukhtaran Mai...
Mukhtaran Mai's trajic story is now the new subject for film producers in Pakisatn. Famous writer and director Nasir Adeeb, who became famous after his blockbuster film Moula Jatt as writer, is making a flm on Mukhtaran Mai, and is looking for a new face/actress to play the role of Mukhtaran Mai. Meanwhile, Megha is playing Mukhtaran's role in a tele film by producer Ghafoor Butt from Norway. The story is written by Asif Ali Pota (famous singer Naheed Akhtar's husband) and director is Daud Butt.
