there is something i m not getting.. i cant understand the difference.. well suppose.. i dislike some people very much.. i dont want to talk to them, i dont want to face them... inspite of all this.. i have no bad wishes for anyone... but if these people are my elders.. i have to respect them and i do... but i m much confused... when i m talking to them nicely.. just for the sake of manners.. i feel myself hypocrite.. i mean .. i dont know.. what is this.. i may b unable to convey my point to u.. but if u get me.. tell me... what should i do... ?

if u dont like someone then,, there must b a reason try to tell that person abt that bad habit k woh khud ko change kar sake,, ya khud hi aap se door rahe
agree to badsha u dont need to b "friend" with ppl u dont like par agar woh samne aa ja'ain to kya zaroori hai unn k agae mu banane ki,, salam dua karo and dont go into details im sure unhein khud andaza ho jae ga
rahi baat blood relation ki doest it really matter ????

sam, hypocrisy would be you would show that you are with them but inside you want to be aginst them. On the other hand, being polite and treating people how you would like be treated than it is basic courtesy and manners.
Evidently, elders in a family may do outrageous things. countering that would be to keep a safe distance from them while maintaining minimum interaction, like what Sall suggested. Cutting-off ties would be an ill advice.
