Khulay Asman Kay Neechay to be shot in Australia, Silsila in France

LAHORE: Film actress Sana told Daily Times on Wednesday that her film aYe Dil Aap Ka Huwa (YDAKH) will be released next month in Canada, US and Dubai.

She will soon leave for France to act in another film titled Silsila being produced in collaboration with a French producer.

Talking about her upcoming international ventures, she said Silsila would be shot in France under Hasan Askari’s charge. She said it would be her second international film after YDAKH.

The film diva said her film YDAKH was a box-office success as it was still the main attraction in cinemas after being released on July 19, 2002. To a question, she said Pakistani actors and actresses would go to Canada for a show in September and she would be part of that crew. She said the show aimed to entertain Pakistani and Indian film audiences and the show would feature various periods of Pakistani films.

To another question, Sana disclosed that she did not watch films (even her own) in cinema halls in the country, saying that most of them “stink and are in bad condition. These stinking, messy cinemas are degrading already awful films.”

Sana said another international venture with Javed Sheikh, ‘Khulay asman kay neechay’ (KAKN), will be shot in Australia and the film’s script was almost complete.

She refused to say whether she or Zara Sheikh would play the lead in KAKN, saying it had not yet been finalised.

Javed Sheikh told Daily Times from Dubai that both Zara and Sana would act in the film. He said the script was almost complete, the music was being recorded and the shooting would start in November.

He said YDAKH’s premiere would be held in Canada, America and Dubai and the film crew would also put up stage shows hosted by Moeen Akhtar.

Mr Sheikh said shooting films abroad or in collaboration with foreign filmmakers was a new trend and it would be good for the industry. —Shoaib Ahmed
