Aishwarya Rai is set to wed Abhishek Bachchan on February 19, it is reliably learnt.
Sources close to the Bachchans' family astrologer told rediff.com that the wedding will be held after the release of their new film together, Guru.
The astrologers have advised that February 19 is the ideal time for the couple to wed, as Aishwarya's celestial planetary position will become compatible.
According to sources, the wedding will be held at Mumbai's Grand Hyatt hotel in the presence of relatives and friends.
Neeta Lulla and Anna Singh will design the wedding dress for Ash and Abhishek respectively.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri too married soon after the release of Amitabh's first hit Zanjeer, in which both actors starred.

Bismillah Khan's nephew wants to perform at Abhi-Ash wedding ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------- PTI Tuesday, March 27, 2007 18:42 IST
VARANASI: With the news that Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are to get married next month, late shehnai maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan's nephew has expressed his desire to perform at the wedding.
"I have already sent my biodata to Amitabh Bachchan stating my desire to perform shehnai at his son Abhishek's wedding and am hopeful of being invited by the family," Mumtaz Hussain said on Tuesday.
Hussain, who trained for years under the Bharat Ratna, said he wanted to bless Abhishek and Aishwarya on his uncle's behalf through rendition of several 'ragas' created by the legendary shehnai player.
He said the playing of shehnai was considered auspicious for matrimony and an opportunity to perform at the Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding would also allow him to pay homage to his departed uncle.

Abhishek to wear golden sherwani for his wedding -----------------------------------------------------
UNI Tuesday, March 27, 2007 19:28 IST
VARANASI: After weaving silken charm for Amitabh Bachchan and hazel-eyed Aishwarya Rai in reel life, a master weaver family of this 'silk city' has woven signature golden fantasy to dress up Abhishek Bachchan for his marriage.
Come April 19 -- the date for much awaited Ash-Abhishek marital union -- and Junior Bachchan will wear an unrivalling golden Sherwani,' the fabric for which has been weaved by the 400-year-old family of master weavers -who have been in this profession since past four centuries of this city famous for signature Banarasi sarees.
''We received an order for the costly Chaodani fabric from our business associates Kay Sons in Churchgate (Mumbai) last November. The owner of the Mumbai based design and tailoring house Gullu Babu asked us to be extra careful while weaving the fabric as it was meant for stitching an exclusive sherwani for Abhishek Bachchan to be worn at marriage with Aishwarya,'' the head of the master weaver family Abdul Matin said on Tuesday.
Two month back Gullu Babu himself trouped down to our unit in Peeli Kothi locality here to take the fabric for the ''treasured'' sherwani likely to cost anywhere between Rs two to Rs five lakh.
The owner of 500 handlooms Mr Matin, who claims to head the only weaver family which weaves the 'Chaodani' style fabric in the world said ''it is after a gap of two decades that the golden fabric with a base of warped silk has been woven for anyone.''
Interestingly, the master weaver family which does business as Noorul Hasan Abdul Matin and Company Pvt Ltd has in the past not only sourced out pure silken fabric handloomed for costumes worn by Big B Amitabh Bachchan in 'Khuda Gawah,' but also the blouse and lehenga worn by Aishwarya in the chartbuster number 'Kajrare' in Shaad Ali's 'Bunty aur Bubbly.'
The cent per cent handloomed silken fabric has also decked up other film stars, including Shahrukh Khan's sherwani fashioned by master weaver's 'kinkhab' fabric, Aamir Khan's sherwani for a watch advertisement and bubbly Urmilla Matondkar's silken sartorials in Punkaj Parashar's 'Banaras.'
The master weaver family which received the coveted Handloom-Handicraft 'Hastshilpa' award from President Kalam last year claims to have woven silken magic for royal families of Britain, Bhutan and Saudi Arabia too.
Besides, these weavers have provided silk fabric to a host of top-notch designers including Neeta Lulla, Rohit Bal and Manish Arora.
''Off late, a scarlett coat worn by a hot shot model in the ongoing Will India Fashion Week was made from fabric woven by us. But the imperial offering woven for Abhishek's sherwani represents that fabric which has only been worn by royal families in the past,'' Mr Matin added.
Interestingly, 'Jalans' -- a Banarasi Saree showroom of Varanasi had a few months back claimed to have secured the order from the Bachchans for dressing up Aishwarya on the marriage day in an 'Anmol' silken Lehenga costing Rs two lakh.
The manager of the showroom Vishnu Jalan when contacted today claimed the order has already been delivered to the filmy family last month.

Is Aishwarya a Bachchan already? ---------------------------------------
"Aishwarya never had any ceremony to get rid of her manglik curse. Nothing like this ever took place," Abhsthek told this week's edition of the "The Week" magazine, calling the widespread media accounts of the ceremonies "intrusive and insensitive."
Abhishek and Aishwarya's marriage is expected to be Bollywood's biggest wedding in years.
Last November the family travelled with Rai to a temple in for what the Indian media reported were prayers to clear up mismatches in their stars.
The Bachchans -- known as the first family of Bollywood for their dominance of the entertainment industry -- held the ceremonies to offset the curse of being a "manglik" hanging over the green-eyed Rai, according to media reports.
Pictures of Rai and the Bachchans emerging from the temple were splashed in Indian newspapers and one well-known astrologer, Chandrasghekar Swami, said he had "advised both the families to perform this corrective puja (prayer)."
Astrologers also said Rai might have to marry a tree before her actual wedding to rid herself of her supposedly unlucky status. This would mean any bad luck would befall the tree, not Abhishek, one of Bollywood's leading men.
Asked why he had not come out earlier with a denial, Bachchan, replied his job was "to act and I guess I am doing fine."
Meanwhile the duo is supposed to tie the knot on April 19. The festivities associated with Abhishek's wedding with Aishwarya are expected to spread over three days. There will be a Sangeet ceremony on the April 18 and a Mehendi ceremony the next day, both at the Bachchan residence - Jalsa.
The Bachchan boy will walk the aisle with Aishawarya in the early morning hours of April 20 at Bachchan's bungalow - Prateeksha. The baaraat will leave Jalsa for Prateeksha on the night of Apr 19.
Though Hindu marriages are traditionally solemnized at the bride's house, these days, it is not uncommon for the bride's side to arrange the wedding at a venue outside their house to accommodate larger number of guests.
But the bride's parents arranging a wedding at the house belonging to the groom's family is unprecedented. If the wedding has to take place in a house, it has to be the bride's house.
Amitabh Bachchan has gone on record saying the wedding will be a low key affair in view of his mother's indifferent health. An inner circle of family and friends are expected to attend.
The Bachchans are known to be staunch and unabashed traditionalists. They believe in their faith, they visit temples and they consult priests and even astrologers.
What happened to their respect for Hindu traditions when it came to choosing a venue for the wedding?

Media barred from covering AbhiAsh wedding! -----------------------------------------------
GAUTAM BURAGOHAIN
So the date is here. Finally Bollywood's most hyped couple AbhiAsh (Abhishek and Aishwarya) are set to tie the knot on April 20th; at least if the strong buzz is to be believed. And it's being touted as an exclusive affair with only a select few family and friends attending.
Most prominent among the star invitees are likely to be close family friends Amar Singh, Anil and Tina Ambani, Subroto Roy, etc. The marriage will apparently be solemnized at the Juhu abode of the Bachchans - Jalsa. The affair will be a simple and quiet ceremony mainly because Amitabh's mother, Teji Bachchan, has not been keeping well for a while now and has been in and out of hospitals.
" Amitji's mother is not well; she won't be able to attend the wedding, so immediately after the marriage rituals are done, the couple will be visiting Lilavati hospital to seek her blessings. After that, there will be a small get together for the family at night," says a source close to the Bachchans. Also, bad news for media hoping to cover the industry's most awaited do.
The buzz is that Press has been barred from covering the event and the sole rights for covering the mega wedding have reportedly been sold to a channel for a whopping sum. There is also talk that photo rights have been sold to an nternational media house, though nothing has been officially confirmed so far! watch this space for more ...
With the news bells ringing out the news of the much awaited Abhi-Ash wedding, loud and clear; we have it from our sources that the director-producer of the in-production Aishwarya starrer 'Jodha Akbar', Ashutosh Gowariker, has cancelled all leave of his unit.
This is because he fears a slowdown after the AbhiAsh Shaadi. The shooting of the Hrithik-Ash film is now on at full throttle, only because he wants to complete it on schedule. Says a source from the production unit in Karjat, "He wants to finish the shooting by the first week of April itself; that's why the shooting is going at full pace, sometimes even without breaks, to beat the shaadi deadline....
"...We have almost wrapped up the film, it's only a question of a few more scenes, now. We will mostly be done before our scheduled date.” Now that’s some fast and smart work from Ashu Gowariker.

Abhishek and Aishwarya seem inseparable ---------------------------------------------
Calcutta News.Net Wednesday 4th April, 2007 (IANS)
With the wedding around the corner, Abhishek Bachchan and his fiancee Aishwarya Rai are trying to spend maximum time with each other and their schedules seem to be getting progressively clogged.
They attended the Zee awards ceremony in Malaysia Sunday. On the very next day Abhishek accompanied his bride-to-be to London for the international premiere Tuesday of her much-awaited film on domestic violence titled 'Provoked'.
Producer Murli Manohar told IANS: 'Although Abhishek is not directly related to the film in any way, he kindly consented to accompany Aishwarya to London for the premiere at the prestigious Empire theatre at Leicester Square.'
Curiously, there will be no premiere for 'Provoked' in Mumbai. Aishwarya, who had earlier gone out of her way to promote the film, had no time to do so. The film opens in four languages - Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu - in India.
'We had the film's director Jagmohan Mundhra and the real-life protagonist Kiranjit Ahluwalia, on whose true-life story 'Provoked' is based, travelling to various parts of India. Hopefully, the film's theme of domestic violence would ring a bell all over the country,' said Manohar.
Incidentally, 'Provoked' is Aishwarya's first international release since the lukewarmly received 'Bride & Prejudice' and the disastrous 'Mistress Of Spices'.
In both 'Bride...' and 'Provoked', the former Miss World plays a Punjabi girl, though a far unhappier one in the latter.
She now has another international film, 'The Last Legion', up for release. In India, this year she just has one movie - Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama 'Jodha-Akbar'.
In 'Provoked', Aishwarya made no physical preparations to play the battered wife.
'I didn't try to look like Kiranjit. There's no physical resemblance between us. But I did connect with her in less apparent ways, met up with her a number of times,' Aishwarya had said in an earlier interview.
'Domestic violence or violence of any kind between a man and a woman is a horrific state to be in. This has been one of my most challenging roles to date,' the actress added
