NY calling Vivek Oberoi to shake a leg

New Delhi: After his impressive performance in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Omkara, the Indian adaptation of Othello, actor Vivek Oberoi has been in Bollywood’s shadows.

And now, it’s time to dance again. As New York beckons Oberoi, he gets set for the annual Bollywood awards in May this year.

The actor will take the centre stage with other compatriots from tinsel town like Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal and Kangana Ranaut.

The stars will perform at the Bollywood awards ceremony to be held at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island in New York on May 26.

''Vivek is a great dancer and is putting his heart and soul into his first public performance in the US to ensure that it will be most memorable for him, and for the fans,” UNI quoted Vice President of the Bollywood awards, Rajiv Dandona, as saying.

Anupam Kher and Upen Patel, along with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, Pakistani actress and singer Shahida Mini, Hollywood's Danny Glover and Phylicia Rashad have also been roped in to perform at the awards ceremony.
