If walls could talk these walls would cry,
telephone chatter, bedroom sigh.
Here echoes of their sad goodbye,
a love affair thats gone awry.
A distant voice said we are through,
a sweeter love she never knew.
They knew their love would have to end,
how hard they did not comprehend.
The walls heard tears for much too long,
night after night a sad love song.
Tear stained pillow, sleepless nights,
still missing him, and love's delight.
Waste not fresh tears on olden grief,
passage of time should bring relief.
Yet tears still come, they fall like rain,
intemittent showers of pain.
Behind smiles, hiding it well,
on the outside, no one can tell.
Amid the night, she can't deny,
because the walls still hear her cry.
