Time in a bottle pains my shattered heart,
all yesterdays dreams finally impart.
Shards of crystal prick deep within my soul,
galactic journey to make me feel whole.
Drift aimlessly amongst the stellar sky,
memories crash in as time flies by.
Holding on to passions that are no more,
tumble, stumble through the darkness I soar.
Out past the nebula beyond the fray,
time seems to have carried my dreams away.
Broken and scattered glimmering afar,
faded dreams return with each fallen star.
Looking inward I see a lost souls plight,
emotional anguish sails through the night.
I reckon with fleeting moments in time,
as my anger changes to feelings sublime.
In the still of the night I now wander,
yesterdays daydreams are left to ponder.
Sweet serenity in transience now found,
encroach tomorrow with hope so resound.
