Should love be cherished, tossed away,
saved in ones heart for a rainy day?
Is it worth the tears at night I weep,
as fountain of pain from sad eyes seep?
Daggers shatter, pierce my heart in two,
trying so hard to forget about you.
Knowing no peace till I leave this earth,
not being loved gives me little self worth.
Paper moon will not always glow bright,
falling stars no longer shine at night.
Clouds hide the sun and bring on the rain,
each days my smiles, hide all the pain.
No love in return, though so much giving,
seaching my life for reasons for living.
Looking back on many years of sorrow,
will more sadness come tomorrow?
Love is painful, sometimes unintended,
there are times hearts can't be mended.
Awaken my soul from numbness, despair,
sometimes it seems more, then I can bear.
