Mortality....
It creeps up like a dark demon, slowly pulling down the body and soul. It runs it's dark, slimy fingers down the mind, leaving just a hint of the terror to come. Darkness sets into the mind and soul, rotting all youthfullness known. Memories become distant, mere thoughts, almost from another world. It eats at the soul, whispering thoughts of dispair and death. It's cold, evil, horrible laughter chases away all thoughs of love and youth. The fell of it's cold, clammy claws grasping the soul is a terrible feeling, like a prisnor awakening in the night, unable to escape, but having the distant, torturous memory of freedom. This monster reaks of the decay of youth and restless days. No one is free of it, for it lurks around every corner, waiting, oh waiting to pull you into the decay of death and darkness it calls it's home.

Yes, it's poetry. Mortality, it is unexscapable-yet we all want to flee it-we want to avoid the unavoidable. It is the dark demon that fights its way to the surface, no matter how hard you want to contain it.
