Forest grown in shapely forms,
kindling from the underbrush.
Lightning strike in thunder storms,
sparks invading evening's hush.
Tall oak tree so proudly stand,
strongly reaching to sky blue.
Tower over this great land,
grow beside the mighty yew.
Sprigs of birch span the hillside,
amid the junipers of green.
So many types coincide,
wondrous beauty so serene.
Old growth forest, endless rings,
counting years and yesterdays.
Upon branches, song bird sings.
mid the twilight's purple haze.
In hollow trees, creatures burrow,
sugar maples running sweet.
Surrounding fields to furrow.
majestic is nature's fete.
