Well the biggest hollywood blockbuster Spiderman 3 will be releasing this friday,15th June all over Pakistan. Well in Karachi Capri,Prince and Universe Cineplex will be showing the film. Now all these cinemas are showing MEDLKA which is doing average business currently. The two main cinemas of the film Capri and Prince will be dopping it down result the film will be there on cineplex only. Now...this the situation of Karachi only!What will happen of Lahore? Finnally we will get to know the overall status of MEDLKA just in a few days.
I went to watch the film again on cineplex on last Saturday.Cineplex being a side cinema and located on a location which is out of the reach of masses was fully crowded.It was jam-packed with teenagers in groups came to watch Shrek 3 and families too.In Cinema-2 MEDLKA was being shown.Despite a big hollywood film being showin in the same plaza,there were good amount of people of MEDLKA.They were mostly Ladies came in huge groups,a couple of families,a group of teenage girls which made the hall half-full(even more than that the last 3 rows were empty). Despite being cineplex being a side cinema and heavy criticism on the film by media,many people are coming to watch the film. Till its release,the film is being sucssusfully being shown on Cineplex. The film is the 2nd Pakistani Film to get so long run at cineplex after YDAKH. I hope they dont replace it with Spiderman 3.

Aha Good News is that MEDLKA is still in cinemas!It is now showing in Nishat and Universe Cineplex! It means its not a flop,its doing well! Nishat is much better than Capri and Prince Cinema!

Overall I have been some what disappointed with MEDLKA.
For this I have to blame Javed Fazil. First he chose the wrong script in fact it has been reported that the film is copy of the Indian film "Yeh Wada Raha". I have no idea of that. According to Shoaib Alam Dennis Isaac had written another script which Javed Fazil rejected and thought it was too hard to make.
There was a time in the 1980s when the Indians used to copy all the films that Javed Fazil directed.
Basically Javed Fazil had a good producer and should have come up with a much better film. Its a shame that Javed Fazil has wasted this opportunity.
Any how MEDLKA has done more then decent business at the box office and its not a flop.
I can't see why our filmmakers are not releasing the much awaited big films even though it has been nearly over 6 weeks when MEDLKA was released.
Instead the distributors of Spidermen have taken the advantage and released Spidermen 3.
