Are you hiding, where are you tomorrow,
why does the sun hide from view?
As dawn breaks ,why are skies gray, not blue,
filled with rain clouds of sorrow?
When calling your name, empty echoes din,
crying eyes in dead of night.
Your once sweet tender love has taken flight,
gone back to where it had been.
Over the rainbow, amid shifting sand,
words of love you sweetly said.
Blinded by your love, storm clouds lay ahead,
you gently let go my hand.
We no longer show what we think or feel,
loneliness pierces the heart.
Buried within, love shall never depart,
do broken hearts ever heal?
Words become silent and now make me cry,
with morning dew teardrops fall.
Nights are the worst, in darkness I recall,
these blues will not say goodbye.
I search for knowledge and wisdom within,
hidden beneath all my pain.
Hoping my faith brings me out of the rain,
letting sun shine where clouds have been.

Amid twilight I rest in solitude,
prisoner of my sullen mood.
There is no escape from love's battle scar,
my captured heart by love afar.
As darkness falls, I wonder what I see,
a daydream or a memory?
I sit and wonder and begin to brood,
deafening silence, quietude
To see the world and its sounds of sadness,
overshadows life's joy and gladness.
Tell me, how will this heart get over you,
perhaps the songs of someone new.
Will his songs be sweet and his feelings grow?
if love shall bloom I do not know.
Will it wither, die as it did before,
maybe this time there will be more.
Until then I will spend each lonely day,
waiting for love to come my way.
Listening for love in a soft etude,
soothing songs in my solitude.
