Running on empty, with a broken heart,
going around and around.
An endless circle without an ending,
shards of glass upon the ground.
Void of emotions as my heart still bleeds,
drained of all its desire.
Still running on empty going nowhere,
within these straits so dire.
Finding strength from within I carry on,
searching for the finish line.
I must find an end to my misery,
mend this broken heart of mine.
Inner voice keeps pushing, pushing me on,
beyond my limits I strive.
Running on empty as fast as I can,
my faith has kept me alive.
