What happens when hot and cold entwine,
forces meet on middle ground?
When east meets west somewhere in Kansas,
will complacency abound?
Does meeting half way mean sacrifice,
or giving in to a whim?
Or understanding of feelings deep,
in fathoms too dark to swim?
Opposites attract with magnetic force,
emotions running on high.
Avoiding head on collission course,
compromising as we try.
Middle of the road, safe and secure,
nothing left to happenstance.
For things held dear are not worth the risk,
and should not be left perchance.
When friends don't always see eye to eye,
if the bottom starts to fall out.
Hold on tight, ride the wave to the shore,
that's what true friends are about.
