You may think the grass is greener,
on the other side of the fence.
Causing you to hurt those who care,
by losing all your common sense.
When you take loved ones for granted,
you slowly let them slip away.
Thinking they will always be there,
that no matter what, they will stay.
Those little lies accumulate,
truth always comes out in the end.
The hurt becomes to much to bear,
and they can no longer pretend.
Letting go is so very hard,
when your heart is full of love.
But reality says you made your choice
out of your life, gave me a shove.
So I will pick up the pieces,
of this heart of mine you tossed away.
Try to forget what I thought was true,
now time for me to fly away.

Oh how I wish I was a little bird,
With a lovely voice and graceful wings,
