yar mujhay ek baat samajh nahi atee...Allah ne to ek religion banaya thaa...Islam and us ko follow kernay waloon ko Muslims kaha thaa...i don;t remember Holy Prophet (PBUH) ke zamanay mai koi sunni, shia, etc ka chakker thaa...to aj kal ye itni tarah ke muslims kidher se nikal ker a gye hain? sunni, shia, wahabi, etc etc...

i do know there is a hadees that says islam will be divided into 73 sects...but again question is...ye sect system shuru hoa kis tarah se? kon sacha...kon jhoota? how to tell...

religion aik hi he lekin us ki different interpretations ki gai by different ppl who are called immaams,on 90 percent issues they all agree between themselves but on 10 percent they have difference of opinion,ghalat yeh hua k we ppl have left the 90 percent and are fighting over the controversial 10 percent.
pehla ikhtalaaf sunni shia tha aur vo religious se ziada political aur historical he,lekin hum logon ne history ko bhi part of faith bana lia hua he.

Nabi karim (SAW) kay daur mai bhee sahaba karam mai ikhtilafat pae jatay thay. jesay Nabi karim (SAW) ki jismani mairaj aur rohani mairaj per bohat sai sahaba mai ikhtilaf paya jata tha. But this is surely not the reason to define different sects in Islam.

Nabi Karim (SAW) kay visal kay baad bohat say waqiat aisay miltay hain jin mai sahaba karam main agar ikhtilaf ho jata tha to woh apas mai larai nahi kartay thay ya aik dosray ko ghalat nahi kehtay thay balkeh ziada ilm aur qurb panay walay sahaba ki baat ko foqiat di jati thee.

baad mai fiqah ki kutab muratab karnay ka yeh maqsad nahi tha keh apas mai ikhtilafat hon, balkeh un logon tak deen ki taleem pohnchana tha jo arab ya os kay qurb-o-jawar mai nahi rehtay thay. osi daur sai ikhtilafat shuru howay aur barhtay barhtay baat kahan per pohanch gai.

dua hai keh Allah hamain rah-e-hidayat aur sirat-e-mustaqim ata farmae.
