Nose pressed against the window pane,
glass shields my eyes from autumn rain.
Pitter patter as the raindrops fall,
streaks upon window let love recall.
Heart beats faster with each new splash,
as hands rest upon the wooden sash.
Peer out into darkness feel dismay,
meloncholy once more comes my way.
As raindrops and teardrops coincide,
I wait here for the storm to subside.
Crystalized beads through convection,
confusion reigns mid introspection.
The rain gives life and with it meaning,
quenches thirsts gives soulful cleaning.
Looking far out beyond clouds of gray,
with faith and hope comes a brighter day.
Rain sooths emptiness brings forth peace,
pastel arch appears as showers cease.
Nose pressed against the window pane,
glass shields my eyes from autumn rain.
