Oceanic journey commense,
sailing through life's dalliance.
Falling into the brine so deep,
sea of love where sorrow reaps.
Began to sail my life so brave,
with buoyancy upon each wave.
Taunts the soul as life gives way,
to all lost dreams of yesterday.
Off course, headed for collision,
making mistakes wrong decision.
Drown in tears, approach disaster,
time passes by faster and faster.
Hidden danger around each bend,
into the wind to rainbow's end.
Treasures of life is there to be had,
riches bountiful mixed with the sad.
Soon my resilience began to fade,
now shallow water is where I wade.
No longer fearless, woman of sage,
for one's wisdom improves with age.
