I work in the service industry and wanted to educate my brothers and sisters on this forum about the custom of tipping in the USA. This is to offend no one but to educate and that is why I have choosen freedom of speech. It is customary and expected to give a tip to hairdressers,waiters and waitresses pizza or food delivery people and of course those who drive cabs to name a few........that you tip at least 15 to 20%. You will receive better service. Service people remember you. I have worked as a hairdresser for many years and I must say that when we see someone who is Pakisanti or Indian come in we do not like to wait on you and resent it because we are insulted by there not being tipped.
Those of you who drive cabs know that tipping is expected.
You will recieve better service with a cheerful smile.
