Not looking forward or ahead,
running away from all I dread.
Going too slow going to fast,
time puts distance from my past.

Pulled in opposite directions,
leaving behind past rejections.
Indecision which way to drive,
must choose correctly to survive.

I sit back here and contemplate,
which way to go what is my fate.
So much of life and road ahead,
repeat my past is what I dread.

Unknown to me around the bend,
if all this pain and hurt will end.
So here in limbo I sit in fear,
watch the mirror of yester-year.

This moment of time now frozen,
to reveal the path I've chosen.
Now time will tell if I chose right,
and if my choice had good insight.

Seeing my past and seeing me now,
I have to forge ahead some how.
Out drive past with faith and hope,
ask God for strength to help cope.

Drive as fast as fast as I can,
I shall not stop till I know when,
I will know when for I will see,
and meet head on my destiny.
