Sadly she lay neath rose filled arbor,
tempest brews beyond the harbor.
Surf pounds the shore as tide rolls in,
each wave letting sadness begin.
Harsh winds gale upon the ocean,
stirring up waves and raw emotion.
Sorrow wash over as sadness grows,
petals scatter from this beautiful rose.
Storm intensifies, thoughts of despair,
feeling alone with stems stripped bare.
Vulnerable, love has withered away,
storm clouds move in across the bay.
Lost in whirlpools, eddys of dreams,
realizes how hopeless it all seems.
Gone with the wind, losing control,
the storm within has taken its toll.
After the storm only driftwood found,
all the rose petals covered the ground.
Storm came that night, took her away,
found next day where rose petals lay.
