Seasons Of Sadness

Teardrops freeze in coldness of winter,
broken hearts will shatter and splinter.
Sadness weaves within binds together,
emptiness of forboding weather.

Laden upon the snow covered hills,
once held there beauty of daffodils.
Footprints upon my heart and the snow,
remind me of you as north winds blow.

Seasons change reminding me of you,
gray clouds now overshadow the blue.
Voice whisper in crisp air each dawn,
echoes of sorrow since love has gone.

Do not know what will become of me,
blinding snowstorm racks my sanity.
Try to remember try to forget,
love's happiness lost in regret.

Love will lay dormant this coming spring,
only more heartache will the future bring.
Soon beauty will bloom upon the hill,
love once more shall lay silent and still.
